I’ve had my fair share of protein shakes over the years, from pre made (which are costly) to powders to mix. Compared to those, this has a nice taste - I think the flavour comes out but isn’t too strong. I have a sweet tooth and found this one isn’t that sweet, so I think most people would find the level of sweetness acceptable. I tend to go for strong or creamier type drinks, so for me, diluting this with water at the recommended quantities it was a little too thin for me. But it’s not awful, and trust me, there’s been some awful shakes over the years. The powder is quite fine, not a dust, but small enough particles that make it easier to mix with just a spoon or fork. I didn’t have a fork available so used a spoon. It took a lot of mixing and I had to crush a few powder balls on the side of the cup but it was well mixed. I only encountered one powder lump. I’d definitely recommend a shaker or whisk, to speed up the process. 20g of protein per shake is great and better still it only requires a small quantity of water, so if you really don’t like the taste there isn’t much to get through. Individual sachets convenient to have post gym when you’re not going home, or if you want your shake whilst out and about but don’t want to spoon portions from a large tub into some sort of bag or container.

Have gone throgh the box of these now and I am quite a fan of it. They work with milk and water, and give a mild fruity/berry taste. They contain milk anyway so figured it should be alright with milk - was kinda like a mild milkshake. As with many protein shakes they give you a nice boost of energy in a natural way (unlike coffee/caffeine). This was noticable as I was having these in the evenings as a form of supper. The packets are set amount of calories and do contain quite a vast array of vitemins, minerals and sources of protein. This makes contolling calries much easier if you are dieting or being mindful of what you eat. The sachets are very easy to use and mix well in water and milk. The pouches work out at £2.00 each, so are a pretty standard price for this item. As with some other reviews, the taste is mild, but I didnt find it unpleasant. To be honest I dont mind the mild nature of these, and would happily have again.

I haven't been a massive fan of protein shakes over the years because they tend to be way too sweet, have a really false taste, be a chalky texture and are way too expensive to become a regular consumable. However, I was really pleasantly surprised with my first protein shake. Initially when the instructions say only 200ml, it didn't seem a lot of liquid. However, when the powder was added, of which there is quite a lot, with displacement of liquid, the volume increases. I found it needed a lot of stirring to mix the powder evenly and did end up with a few clumps - maybe a protein shaker shaker would be a good investment to go with this product. It was very thin liquid at first, but after about 30 seconds it thickened up nicely, enough to make it feel like a substantial drink. The taste is delicious; the dominant flavour being the banana but you can taste the strawberry too. The sweetness was perfect with no bitter aftertaste, the colour was good and it was gone far too quickly owing to its deliciousness! There are so many positives to this brand, being packed with vitamins and minerals and being high in protein. I am now very tempted to try the other flavours which also sound scruffy!

The Other Side
This powder is a good source of protein after an intense workout. It has 20g of protein in each portion. Each portion also has 193 kcal and no added sugars. I like that the powder does not just have protein but is also filled with vitamins and minerals - this makes the powder more nutritious for the body. I also like that the powder comes in individual packs for single use - this helps to carry the product with you when needed. The only thing I was not keen on was the flavour - it was overly sweet to my taste. I would prefer something more natural-tasting as this felt artificial sweetness to me. This is why I give this product 4 stars.
